Thank you to the many volunteers who came out for the Day of Action yesterday organized by our local Liberal Commission Clubs! It was a huge success thanks to you! We had a large number of door to door canvassers and callers of all ages. We were pleased to see several volunteers who came out for the first time since the 2015 campaign and others who were coming out for their first time to volunteer with the Liberal Party! Together they reached many hundreds at the doorstep and hundreds more over the phone over the course of the full day! We found new Liberal supporters, several new Liberal volunteers and gained valuable feedback about the Trudeau government. A huge thanks to everyone involved!
A huge thank you to the panelists, organizers and over 75 attendees for making our discussion forum and social on Advancing Gender Equality a very positive memorable evening despite the heavy rain downpour that evening. The panelists (Ruby Sahota, Jennifer Canning, Karen George, Elizabeth Lorenzin, Danielle Takacs and Sandra Vos) shared informative, inspiring and moving stories based on their personal experiences. They offered advice and guidance to women and men to ensure advancement of gender equality. They answered a wide range of questions from the audience. Lin Fines did an amazing job as a moderator and sharing her own stories and knowledge about challenges women have faced, and continue to face, in politics and the workforce. More great discussions were had at the social that followed.
