Another Great Discussion on Making Homes More Senior Friendly

We were pleased to have another great turnout for our 5th community forum on making homes more senior friendly, hosted by the Brantford-Brant Senior Liberals Club (BBSLC). Our special guest this time was Asmah Khan, a Registered Practical Nurse who works currently as a Supervisor for Closing the Gap Health Care In Guelph. In the Last 4 years she has worked with the Geriatric population. Asmah has also worked for Behaviour Support Ontario as a Behaviour Clinical Coach. Asmah has trained in responsive behaviour in the Geriatric Population who have Alzeihmers and Dementia.

We were pleased to hear her perspectives and for the wide-ranging discussion had.

Thank you to all who came out and contributed to the discussion!

Previous forums our that Seniors Club have organized have included special guest speakers from Brantford Social Services, the March of Dimes, Saint Vincent de Paul, Brantford Red Cross and the Brantford Seniors’ Resource Centre.

We look forward to our next community forum, stay tuned for details!
