The 29th consecutive monthly Brantford-Brant Liberal breakfast social takes place on Saturday, July 8th, 2017.

Each month we get together for a great breakfast, friendship and discussion and to hear updates on recent and upcoming events in our community and what’s going on in Ottawa. Our monthly breakfasts are now hosted by the BBFLA Women’s Club and take place at the Duke on Park restaurant.

Recent special guest speakers have included Cambridge MP Bryan May, local Daughter of the Vote Azra Alagic, Executive Director of Why Not City Missions Charlie Kopczyk and Executive Director of Stedman Community Hospice Cheryl Moore.
We are extremely pleased to have Jeff Burnham as our special guest for the July 8th breakfast!
Jeff Burnham, a member of the Oneida Nation, turtle clan, is from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.  He is President of GoodMinds.com, the worlds largest wholesaler of First Nations, Inuit and Metis books. Jeff is also publisher for a not for profit press called Indigenous Education Press.
Jeff’s career has included working in banking, Federal Government and private business.  He is a Director and Treasurer of the National Reading Campaign and a director on the Friends of Six Nations Public Library Foundation. His current focus is on reading, and the need for public libraries in Indigenous communities. Jeff and his wife Linda live in Brantford, Ontario. They have 2 daughters, 2 sons in laws, 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
Jeff will speak briefly about the LPC policy resolution in support of Indigenous Public libraries (passed at the 2016 LPC National Biennial Convention), what is happening nationally with First Nations public libraries and what needs to change.
We are looking forward to hearing from Jeff!
Breakfast starts at 9 AM and is provided at a special price of $7.00 (plus taxes.) This price include eggs, your choice of bacon, ham or sausage, plus home fries, toast and coffee or tea! (à la carte options are also available.)

(Attendance for the Breakfast Social is free – there is no obligation to purchase breakfast. All are invited to attend!)
